Each farm is distinctive, reflecting the vision of its owner and the surrounding environment. Farmers share techniques for cultivating, harvesting, drying and using lavender.U-pick lavender is offered at each farm, plus workshops, demonstrations, craft artists, music, food, beverages and “Meet the Farmer” daily programs.

The Street Fair, located at 2nd and Fir Street in downtown Sequim, is “Lavender Central,” featuring more than 120 juried booths plus premier lavender and lavender products proudly offered by members of the Sequim Lavender Growers Association. Local foods, wines, and live music add to the festivities with a new community area that brings together local organizations and family fun.  Free shuttle busses at Lavender Central take visitors to all of the farms, and to downtown shuttle parking. Admission to the Street Fair is free with plenty of free parking in downtown Sequim.

Many Community Events compliment the festival weekend including items such as the Sunbonnet Sue Quilt Show, a winery tour, nature cruise, golf tournament, jazz, and theater.  The Grand Lavender Dinner brings the weekend’s events to a close

Sequim is located on Washington State’s Olympic Peninsula cradled in the “Rain Shadow” of the Olympic Mountains and the world-famous Olympic National Park.  The Sequim-Dungeness Valley has an ideal microclimate for growing lavender.  With less than 20 inches of rain per year, the area is similar to the Provence region of France.  . Because of the unique conditions and dedicated farmers, Sequim lavender has received world-wide recognition for its superior quality and fragrance.
