Background

Welcome to the 30th Sequim Lavender Festival® and the Lavender Capital of North America®, produced by the Sequim Lavender Growers Association™. During the 3-day Festival Weekend please consider yourself a "Lavender Festival Ambassador" – informative, friendly and helpful. Feel free to refer visitor questions to one of the two information booths on site, where staff or trained volunteers will be happy to assist them.

Everything you need to know as a vendor is on this page somewhere — and if it's not here yet, it will be. We add to this page frequently right up to the event, so check back often.

Please note: We reserve the right to make last-minute changes required to accommodate festival participants and vendor needs. The Festival Committee works hard to ensure a good flow of vendors and that no two of the same type of vendor are right next to each other — no small task. No booth changes can be made at this point. Please read the information below carefully; your awareness and compliance are critical to a smooth, successful festival for all of us.

Safety & Fire Code

Fire Marshal Check Off

The Fire Marshal will be checking booths on Friday morning between 9am and 11am. Please be at your booth during this time in case the Fire Marshal has questions, comments, or concerns. He will sign off on your booth and you can proceed without incident. You must have your booth approved by 11am Friday. This is strictly enforced, so please don't ask for an exception.

Fire Code Requirements

Booths must be fire-proof with tags, per Sections 3104.2 & 3104.3 of the current edition of the International Fire Code. Tags can be NFPA 701, CPAI-84, or California Fire Marshal Title 19 certified for the festival.

Booth Weights

Booths must have at least 30 lbs. of weight secured on each corner for safety and weather; we recommend 50 lbs. per corner. Sequim can get high summer winds even in beautiful weather. Absolutely no stakes in the ground — you may puncture the underground irrigation system and get a bill from the City of Sequim.

Overnight Procedures

Private security is hired at night. Each evening, vendors must secure all four sides of their booth with flaps, sides, tarps, clips, etc. You may use "blue" tarps at night, but not during event hours. The Festival is not responsible for your booth or contents. You may not park any vehicle overnight at the festival grounds.

Emergency

During the event, be aware of safety and security. Report suspicious behavior and call 911 immediately for any emergency. Your booth number helps emergency personnel find your space. We will contact you using the primary phone number provided in ZAPP. You may also reach our texting line at 360-437-6185 to report suspicious behavior or shoplifting.

First Aid

A first-aid booth managed by Clallam County Fire District #3 EMTs and volunteers is open throughout the weekend on the south end of the event, behind the stage. Look for the CERT tent.

Parking Permit

One parking ribbon (pink) is given to you at load-in on Thursday for the nearby vendor parking area, first come first served. If you're bringing a second car, please plan to park on the streets within walking distance. If you have a trailer that needs to be stored during festival hours (9am–7pm Fri/Sat, 9am–5pm Sun) to access product, contact Kelly before set-up day; trailers can only be accommodated during open hours. No overnight camping is allowed at the park, and trailers cannot be parked behind your booth during the day.

New this year: In addition to a parking ribbon, we'll write your booth number on your windshield with a chalk marker (it won't damage the glass) so we can reach you quickly if your car needs to move.

Restocking Booths

Each morning there is a short window, 7:00AM–8:30AM, when vendors can bring a vehicle with parking permits onto the event area to unload. All vehicles must be off the event area and parked by 8:30AM Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Please have your parking permit showing for admittance.

No Electricity

Electricity is not available unless you made special arrangements prior to June 1.

Dry Camping

If you purchased dry camping, you'll receive your Dry Camping Pass and instructions at check-in Thursday at Trinity United Methodist Church (100 S Blake Ave, Sequim). Dry camping is located at the church.

Booths, Selling & Policies

Booth Numbers

Your booth number has been entered into ZAPPlication and communicated by email. We did our best to accommodate requests for corners, proximity to bathrooms, sun/shade, and being next to friends. There could be slight changes between now and the festival. Numbers with a "-c" are corner booths where you can open two sides of your tent to the public.

Final numbers are given to you when you check in Thursday during load-in. You must display the number in a visible place on the front of the booth, upper-left corner — two clips are provided in your load-in bag. This is required by the Fire Department. Booth numbers are collected Sunday so we can reuse them next year.

Juried Products

Sell only the handmade items that were juried by the Sequim Lavender Festival Committee. Those attempting to sell imports or consignments will be asked to pull products and may not be invited to future events. We reserve the right to close booths that do not comply.

Festival Schedule

The festival is open to the public 9:00AM–7:00PM Friday and Saturday, and 9:00AM–5:00PM Sunday. We open at 9:00AM because there are many early-bird customers, even on Sunday. All vendor vehicles must be out of the public area and parked each morning by 8:30AM. Please, no packing up before 5:00PM on Sunday. Fire Marshal inspections begin at 9am Friday.

Sales Tax (everyone must collect)

Retail sales tax in Sequim, WA is 8.9%. You are responsible for State of Washington Department of Revenue registration. The tax code for the City of Sequim is 0503 — use this code when reporting sales. Questions or schedules: dor.wa.gov or 1-800-647-7706.

Cancellation Policy

  • Application / Jury Fees: Non-refundable.
  • Booth Fees: After June 1, 2026, no refunds.

Other Important Things

  • No dogs allowed in booths (service dogs allowed).
  • No smoking in or near the booth — this is a smoke-free event; violators may be closed and not invited back.
  • Sales only inside your booth space — no selling behind the booth and no "roaming" the street with product (not even your kids).
  • Storage of stock must be within your booth.
  • You must have a Seller's Permit (Business License) and be prepared to show it if asked.
